Pay rate:
£80 - £90 per day (Depending on experience)


Working hours:8:30am - 3:30pm (Term time only)


Active Recruitment are working closely with a very reputable mainstream school in East London, who are looking for SEN Teaching Assistants to work with children aged years old.

In this role, you will be working in a specialist provision within amainstream school with the goal of helping these young students with complex social, emotional & behaviour needs receive the best standard of education possible.


As an SEN Teaching assistant, you'll work on a group or one-to-one basis with additional needs, which include ASD, SEMH and behavioural difficulties.

This role can be challenging. However, you are part of making a real change to a student's life - whichcan be extremely rewarding.


The successful SEN Teaching Assistant must:

  • Have recent experience within a similar role.
  • Be passionate about working with SEN pupils
  • Be able to modify approach depending on pupils individual needs
  • Be able to inspire and motive those that need additional support
  • Be passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people

Key responsibilities for your role:


  • Working with specific children from Early Years through to KS2 that require extra help and target support, depending on their needs
  • Leading sessions outside of the classroom with children both 11 and small groups
  • Working alongside other professionals to assess children including writing EHCPs
  • Working with other teaching staff to design the best strategies to meet a pupil's needs.
