Shift Pattern: 4on 4off, 6am-6pm


Salary: 26,063

Menzies Distribution are looking for an experienced Transport Administrator to join our team, providing a first-class service in Biggleswade. You'll be working on behalf of Menzies Distribution and its customers.


Transport Administrator Duties:


  • Answering inbound telephone calls, assisting customers with enquiries, and adhering to depot KPI's
  • Assisting drivers with locating addresses and providing delivery instructions
  • Assisting customers and providing excellent customer service

  • Ensuring contractor paperwork is completed
  • Basic administrative duties
  • To implement the Health and Safety Policy, ensuring and maintaining a safe working environment at all times
  • To implement the Security Policy ensuring and maintaining a secure passage of goods for the customer
  • Carry out such other duties as may reasonably be requested by the Management or the Shift Manager
  • Be Computer literate
  • Report daily into managers at the start of the shift and again at the end regarding driver performance issues and action taken
  • Manage drivers compliance Vs Daily targets
  • KPI reporting
  • Agency time sheets

Requirements:


  • An understanding of transport legislation and logistics operations
  • Experience of working in a transport/logistics environment
  • Able to react quickly to information, helping solve any challenges to routes
  • Experience using inhouse transport management systems is an advantage
