Description

We are recruiting a Senior Supervisor who will support the Facilities Manager in leading a team of Team Leaders, cleaning, catering, portering staff and sub-contractors to deliver a fully integrated facilities service.

You will manage the teams to ensure efficient and effective service provision in line with agreed budgets and service specifications, monitor and report on the quality and financial performance of services within the scope of the contract whilst aiming to continuouslyimprove the service delivery to the client.


Main Duties & Responsibilities of the Role:
Assist in organising all staffing levels in line with the budgeted hours.

Assist with recruitment inducting, training and development of cleaning staff / supervisors in line with Company procedures, including mandatory training.

Maintenance of all employee attendance records for holiday & sickness.

Assist with the management of the AIP for all employees and a monthly report forwarded to the Service Manager on the absence levels.

To direct activities of all subordinates, ensuring that they are properly trained to competently carry out their duties and responsibilities as well as ensuring that they acknowledge and accept a personal responsibility for safety.

Standard of discipline, ensuring staff report for duty at the correct times and breaks are adhered too.
Complete counselling notes, file notes, and investigatory hearings when required.
Ordering and control of all materials within site budgets.
Meet with the FM on an agreed basis to discuss issues of the site.
Joint quality monitoring in partnership with the Client.
Complete joint audits with the Team Leaders on a weekly basis and forward to the Facilities Manager.
Assist with the preparation of wage information daily and forwarded to Facilities Manager on a weekly basis.
Completion and collating of monthly stocktaking at sites for consumables, chemicals, catering & uniforms.
Ensure helpdesk jobs are responded to and closed out in the allocated time. Along with discussing continuing issues with the supervisors and plan for improvement.

Ensure periodic cleaning is carried out correctly and in accordance with the agreed schedule and the associated forms are completed.

Take responsibility for ensuring that a safe system of work is produced and communicated to employees (subordinates) prior to the commencement of the work activity.

Report any defects to the helpdesk for action.
Ensure that work activities are properly managed and supervised.
To ensure that all equipment is cleaned, maintained, and stored to the required standards.

To be successful in the role, you will need:
A minimum of 2 years supervisor experience in the Facilities Management industry.
Recognised cleaning accreditation equivalent to BICS
Food Hygiene Level 3
Sound knowledge of Excel & Word
