Funded by the WellcomeTrust, the MedTechONEproject aims to develop technologies in musculoskeletal health and surgery, addressing robotics, sensingand imaging needs currently unmet in the medical sector.

The project activities will be based in the Hamlyn Centre, which itself has strong links to the Departmentsof Surgery & Cancer and Mechanical Engineering.

The Hamlyn Centre focuses on technological innovation with a strong emphasis on clinical translation, resulting in direct patient benefits with global impacts.


Duties and responsibilities:


  • You will contribute to the educational impact of the MedTechONEproject through the development of new and existing modules and programmes, supporting the delivery and evaluation of digital resources underpinning pedagogical practice.
  • You will be a key contributor to informing stakeholders, assisting them in decision making around the pedagogic direction of the centre.
  • You will keep abreast of developments in STEMspecific learning technologies in HE and beyond.

Essential requirements:


  • You should be educated to Degree level or equivalent qualification, ideally in a STEM discipline, with educational experience/knowledge, or have equivalent professional experience.
  • You will have experience of working in eLearning, or in the development of elearning materials
  • You must have experience of Learning Design, Production of assets, Application/Tool Development or Learning Technologies.
  • Knowledge of an appropriate technology or platform for teaching, learning and assessment is essential.

Further information:

This is a fixed term position up to the 30th June 2025 in the first instance.

This position is eligible for a hybrid working structure.
