The role
As an Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Supervisor, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary.

You will be working closely with site management and engineering teams on our client EDF's nuclear power stations, ensuring that all teams are set to work effectively and that projects are delivered in accordance with the safe system of working.

Day to day, you'll be responsible for ensuring that all project work on site at EDF nuclear power stations is undertaken in accordance with the safety guidelines, ensuring work is effectively controlled and co-ordinated to minimise delays and costs in meeting installation programme dates.

  • Supervise and/or undertake all work as instructed by the Site Manager/Engineer to the requirements of the task documentation (i.e. work instructions/implementation quality plans, method statement; quality plan; risk assessments etc.), with due care to minimise the potential for inadvertent disturbance to site plant or equipment, reporting back on safety and quality standards.
  • Assist with the production of construction plans, risk assessments and other documents as required.
  • Briefing and setting engineering teams to work in compliance with both Cavendish and client requirements, particularly in relation to safety and quality.
  • Ensure documentation, including drawings and records are kept and tracked as appropriate and are updated and closed out in full at the conclusion of projects.
  • Report all anomalies, safety hazards, plant damage and specific problems through the Site Manager/Engineer before proceeding further.

Essential experience of the Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Supervisor:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role or leading teams of engineers
  • Willing to travel across the county/stay away, to visit different sites when needed

As a roving role focused on project delivery, this role will require some travel to EDF sites across the country, though the main hub is predominantly going to be the Hartlepool site.
