The Client
Our Client are one of the UK's leading providers of planned and responsive maintenance services in the Social Housing sector, maintaining more than 500,000 properties Nationwide.
The Role
Managing a team of Contracts Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Administration and site teams. Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for managing their Planned works across the West Midlands.
You will ensure that business plan targetsare met achieving business and commercial targets along with client satisfaction to ensure repeat business.
Duties
Ensure contracts are completed to programme, client satisfaction is maintained, and profit margins are met
Ensure that sales invoices are submitted accurately and in line with costs and client deadlines
Assist with the production of their regional business plan along with the development of their specific operational plan
Responsible for the accurate build up and submission of tenders/quotations within region
Ensuring that adequate pre-contract planning takes place so that contracts are delivered in line with profit requirements
Continually monitor contracts to ensure delivery in line with cost plans.
Submit accurate monthly valuations built up from site progress reports to the Strategic Operations manager present to both external clients and at internal management meetings
Identify potential business development opportunities and manage BDM/telemarketing activity to develop client base in line with the business plan
Support bid time by submitting requests for technical information timely and accurately
Manage the Health, Safety and Welfare on contracts, staff, clients and the general public
Ensure the production and distribution of compliant health and safety information and plans and carry out training and development reviews
Ensure that the company's policies and procedures are being met and that the flow of information between all departments and their staff is being maintained.
Continually monitor staff and resources to identify requirements, interview and recruit staff to meet these requirementsCreate, monitor and roll out full Programme of Works from start to finish
Chair Monthly communication meetings
Requirements:
Must have a proven track record of Operational Management within the Social Housing sector
Must have experience within Planned work contracts
Must have a high degree of commercial/business acumen
Must be able to identify, plan and develop business development opportunities to meet sales and business plan targets.
Must be experienced MS Office software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Ability to work under pressure, to deadlines and prompt turnaround times
Must be flexible in travel and hold a Full UK Driving Licence
