Overview of the Safety at Heights Operative


2fawcett are recruiting for an Safety at Heights Operative (installation) based in Sheffield, however that is happy for UK Travel due to the nature of the role.

The jobs' purpose is to ensure site based activities are safely and efficiently managed and undertaken to deliver the installation, text & inspection of fall protection systems on time and to specification.

This role will require working at heights.


Key responsibilities of the Installation Engineer

  • Responsibility for the timely installation of fall protection equipment in line with
    specification, drawings and programme
  • Testing & inspecting Fall protection equipment
  • Implementing the Company's Health and Safety Policy issues relating to the site activities and travelling to and from work.
  • Liaison with RUK Installation Supervisor, commercial and technical team
  • Liaison with clients site representatives
  • Comprehensive completion and return of all necessary site paperwork
  • Responsibility to monitor and advise RUK Installation Supervisor of commercial implications due to delays, design variations or additions when they become apparent on site
  • Regular preparation of status reports as and when reasonably required by line manager
  • Any other task reasonably requested of you by the Installation Supervisor or other suitably authorised members of RUK staff

Key requirements of the Installation Engineer

  • CSCS Qualification
  • Ideally experience working on Fall protection Equipment and working at heights

Salary:
£23,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
