A rare Monday - Friday role with hours between 6am and 2pm.

About Our Client:

Our client is an FMCG distributor based in LS10, due to rapid expansion plans we require additional Distribution support on a full time, permanent basis.

Organise & manage busy distribution operation
Support in all aspects of the operation including on the yard.
Monitor and own certain business systems and processes of which are related to resource planning
Ensure all deliveries are planned and executed within SLA and to all customers standards
Audit team of drivers to ensure DOTIF adherence
Ensure all company systems are used correctly in accordance with instructions of use.
Source local agency and, manage driver start times using T&A system
Liaise with drivers and operational team any and all amendments and optimisation requirements
Supervise vehicle and driver compliance for the operation
Ensure all relevant distribution documentation is adequately complete to company standards
Ensure company systems are used correctly in accordance with instructions issued
Point of contact for delivery issues escalating to relevant departments in a timely manner
Brief and debriefing of drivers and distribution staff members
Ensure legal compliance throughout daily activities and delegations
Provide visible leadership, support and direction to the distribution team
Assist with incident & accidents reports and investigations
Monitor staff overtime and working and other cost variables associated
Engage with driving team to ensure that they are briefed on business communications
Facilitate new driver recruitment and deliver end to end on boarding process
Analyse routing data to identify inefficiencies
Make decisions in absence of upper or senior management
