Education Trainer Coach


Hours of Work: 37.5 hours p/w


Salary:
£28, £32,000.00 per annum


Purpose of Job / Company Values
The Education Trainer Coach is responsible for delivery of our sector leading education apprenticeships and digital learning programmes.

In addition, Trainer Coaches support a range of education and business clients in the development of their digital practice and empower organisations to digitally upskill their staff.


Education Apprenticeships

  • Plan and deliver both knowledge and competency based qualifications according to relevant Awarding Bodies, funding and organisational requirements.
  • Digital Learning Practitioner
  • ILM Leadership and Management for Education
  • Supporting Teaching and Learning
  • Plan and deliver workshops or 'offthe job' training sessions where necessary to provide effective teaching and learning opportunities to fulfil requirements of the programme.
  • Prepare and develop resources to support delivery of the learning programme including learning resources.
  • Provide support, information and guidance to learners through a coaching model.
  • Track learner progression and assess achievement to ensure timely completion of programmes.
  • Support, deliver and develop learner's awareness and skills in areas including literacy, numeracy, digital literacy, employability, Welsh Language, sustainability and all crosscutting themes
  • Support contract, quality and compliance requirements to ensure attainment, recruitment and caseload targets are met.
  • Have a strong commitment to continued professional development and a willingness to explore opportunities for further development.
  • Reviewing the safeguarding and wellbeing of learners and escalating through the appropriate process where required.

Programme Delivery and Design

  • Contribute to the design and implementation of new programmes as they arise.
  • Create resources for new programmes that incorporate various forms of new and emerging technology/ies.
  • Create development resources that are contextually relevant to clients and accurately reflect their practice.
  • Collaborate with the education team to deliver/co deliver sessions for all company products
  • Communicate with clients, where necessary, to organise and facilitate upcoming training programmes.
  • Contribute to the company social media strategy capturing the delivery of training / feedback of clients.

Company Procedures & Quality Standards

  • Ensure training programmes are delivered in accordance with A2B expectations/quality assurance standards.
  • Ensure training programmes are delivered in accordance with awarding and inspectorate bodies.
  • Elements of the role may involve working with adults at risk, children and young people in an educational setting.
  • Reviewing the safeguarding and wellbeing of learners and escalating through the appropriate process where required.

Essential Criteria

  • Experience in the education sector either as an assessor, trainer coach, teacher, teaching assistant or learning and development sector (trainer)
  • High levels of digital competence
  • Significant experience in the use of technology for teaching and learning within Primary/Secondary/HE/FE/Learning and Development
  • Occupational competence for the specialised vocational areas and level required
  • Digitally competent and confident
  • Demonstrable commitment to equality and diversity and inclusion
  • Ability to react flexibly under pressure and to work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Handson approach and 'can do' attitude
  • Self motivated, with the ability to work proactively using own initiative
  • Committed to learning and development
  • Full driving licence, willing to travel across South Wales

Desirable Criteria

  • Welsh speaker
  • TAQA or equivalent
  • Qualified Teacher/Teaching Assistant
  • Proven experience of assessing/tutoring vocational qualifications
  • Proven experience of using digital technologies to promote teaching and learning
  • Qualification in the specialised vocational areas and level required
  • Occupational competence within the education and skills sector
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Professional Standards for Worked Based Learning Practitioners in Wales
  • Experience of contributing, supporting and complying with all contract requirements and corporate strategies including but not restricted to: Health
