We're looking for a talented Transport Administrator to join us on a full-time, permanent basis working at our Thurrock site, working 12 hours shifts on a 4 on 4 off pattern.


Pay, benefits and more:

We're looking to offer a salary of up to £26,000. We offer 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, as well as the option to buy additional days.

What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Provide administrative support to the Transport team within agreed time scales including working to deadlines and ensuring that all telephone calls are answered and directed accordingly.
  • Complete administrative tasks as required, accurately and within agreed timescales (i.e. processing Reconciliation Day 1 for Day 2, also Data input)
  • Support and adhere to XPO processes, procedures and requirements (e.g. Audit requirements, Health & Safety, HR processes etc.) in order to minimise financial, reputational and operational risks/costs
  • Provide professional, friendly and efficient service to all customers by actioning enquiries and ensuring that appropriate customer service standards are maintained
  • Monitor, organise and control day to day Administration within the Team including stock control and ordering of PPE.
  • Administration of trachograph data including compliance
  • Any other Adhoc Administration Duties

What you need to succeed at XPO:

  • Evidence of Administrative experience in a transport environment.
  • Experience of Working Accurately with numbers, consignment notes and other paperwork where close attention to detail is paramount
  • Basic health and safety knowledge / experience
  • Evidence of experience in understanding, investigating and solving customer service issues and escalating where appropriate
  • Experience of managing conflicting priorities in a fast moving environment
  • Experience in utilising Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel)
