We support people with multiple disadvantages, including substance misuse & mental health, as well as those who find themselves in the criminal justice system. Our services enable the people we support to improve their health, wellbeing and employability._
We are excited to announce a brand-new opportunity within our Criminal Justice team as a part time Criminal Justice MHTR Team Lead.
Due to new funding and the development of our Criminal Justice services, Reach EDP will now be able to provide support for individuals with low level mental health issues who find themselves within the Criminal Justice system.
As a Criminal Justice Mental Health Treatment Requirement Team Lead, your role will be to lead on the management and development of our Criminal Justice MHTR Team; as well as develop the criminal justice services provided by Reach in Dorset.
In addition, you will:
- Improve access, assessment and continuityofcare for both substance misuse and mental healh support by working with all criminal justice agencies across Devon (including the National Probation Service, Community Rehabilitation Companies, Courts, Police and Prisons).
- Maintain an awareness of the full Reach EDP integrated drug and alcohol service offer in developing pathways and joint working arrangements
- Assist in the measuring and evaluation of data in relation to the delivery of MHTR's.
- Providing support and supervision to the MHTR team, including performance management and schedule management.
Opportunity available:
This position is available on a fixed term / secondment basis until 31st March 2025. This is a part time position working 17.5 hours per week. Working days and times can be agreed upon appointment.
The position can be based from any of community hub locations in Gillingham, Weymouth or Wimborne, or with our partner organisation located in Bournemouth.

- Have experience and an understanding of the Criminal Justice system.
- Be able to build and maintain strong working relationships with partner agencies and organisations.
- Experience working with substance misusers, including a good understanding of treatment and interventions available is essential.
- Ideally, you will have some experience of structured line management, supervision and management practices from a Health & Social care or similar setting
- You will be organised, proactive and a strong communicator.
