JOB PURPOSE
Working as an Advocacy and Policy Adviser for Amnesty Tech's Big Accountability Team (BTAT), you will play an important role in advocating for the effective regulation of Big Tech corporations in key target jurisdictions globally.
You will ensure that Amnesty International Tech is respected as an expert group by policymakers and that Amnesty International's advocacy efforts are impactful.

ABOUT YOU
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, cultivate and leverage effective relationships with affected communities, decisionmakers, legislators, CSOs, policy experts and researchers to deliver on the BTAT's advocacy goals.
- Spearhead Amnesty Tech's advocacy related to Big Tech Accountability, arrange meetings with relevant policymakers, regulators, human rights mechanisms, and elected officials where appropriate.
- Use creative advocacy methods which elevate the experiences of marginalised communities affected by Big Tech's human rights harms.
- Coordinate, develop, implement and lead on the development of new policies to advance Amnesty International's advocacy goals related to Big Tech, mass corporate surveillance, and platform accountability.
- Support and contribute to Amnesty Tech's commitments to antiracism, intersectionality, equity and inclusion across all functions including advocacy.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience in international advocacy or advocacyrelated work, preferably in the technology and human rights field.
- Experience producing high quality advocacy outputs including analyses, policy briefs, position papers and submission, and ability to analyse legal and policy concepts.
- Excellent ability to work collaboratively internally and externally with others, including with people from different backgrounds.
