Contract Manager| Barnsley | £40,000-£44,000 | Permanent

Client:

Castlefield Recruitment are currently working exclusively with a public sector organisation in Barnsley, to recruit a Contracts Manager.

The organisation operates a
hybrid working policy operating a mandatory 3days in office;2days working from home

Role Duties:

Directly responsible for the management of service providers in respect of value for money and contract compliance
Clarifying specifications and placing contracts in accordance with PCR201
Working under national frameworks
Liaise and control communication channers with key suppliers to ensure value for money
Managing expenditure
Ensure compliance with Council's Commercial Strategy and Contract Procedure Rules
Supervise the junior team and provide guidance to Contract and Governance Officers within organisation

Individual:

Extensive experience of contract and performance management within the public sector
Experience of commercial negotiation
Strong contract management skills, successfully ensuring compliance
Previous supervision experience within a role
