Assembly Operative


We are seeking an experienced assembly or production operative to join the assembly team, based in Oldham on a temporary ongoing basis.

The successful person must be confident using computers.

The site is easily accessible on public transport (both tram and bus).


They offer lots of staff benefits such as free vending machine, fruit, tea/coffee etc., as well as the opportunity to accrue an extra TWELVE days holiday per year This opportunity is available with an immediate start and is 12 weeks temporary to permanent position.


Location:
Oldham, Derker OL1.


Hours of work:
Monday to Thursday 7am-4pm, and Friday 7am - 12noon (39 hours per week).


Rate of pay:
£10.42 per/hr


Duties of Assembly Operative:

  • Programme the money machine to the correct currency via a computer system.
  • Testing the product once programmed.
  • Operate a computer to programme and calibrate the machine.
  • Working to quality and time standards ensuring customer orders are met.
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed and data recorded accurately.
  • Package the item for dispatch and label accordingly.
  • Heavy lifting of stock
  • Any other duties.

Experience required:

  • Must be computer literate, and able to confidently operate one independently.
  • Ability to follow concise instructions to manufacture a product.
  • Must be able to work independently.

Salary:
£10.42 per hour
