We have data we've not had before. We know we need to improve our recruitment processes, policies and procedures. We're now more aware of where our issues lie. And now we know better, we can do better.

We are looking for someone to join our Talent Growth team to map out the systemic issues causing inequalities in our recruitment processes and work with people with lived experience to gather approaches we can take to address these.

These new approaches will then be embedded into our Talent Acquisition plan.

Your time will be spent working with stakeholders across the organisation to help with researching, designing and launching our equitable recruitment and positive action strategies.

This role has been created for 9 months to support with the increase in work needed to start the project.

  • But we need your help._

A day in the life of an Recruitment Project Officer will involve:

  • Keeping logs and reports of project milestones, updating Equitable Recruitment Lead(s) when necessary.

To be a successful Recruitment Project Officer, you'll need:

  • Strong communication and relationship building skills, enabling you to work well with multiple stakeholders.
  • To be comfortable working with data and numbers
  • The ability to work at pace and on multiple projects at the same time
  • To have the confidence to challenge upwards, and the trust to know you'll be heard
  • A genuine desire to improve our ways of working to increase the opportunities available to people from underrepresented communities.

In return for your commitment and expertise, you'll get:

  • A salary of between £25,357 and £28,362, based on 35 hours per week
  • 36 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays)
  • Up to 6% contributory pension

  • At The British Red Cross, we pride ourselves on our diverse workforce, and ensuring we have an inclusive environment for all our staff and volunteers. We do this through regular data reporting, and the support of our internal Race and Equality Network (REEN), LGBT+ Network, our Disability and Wellness Network (DAWN), Gender Network, Carers Network and Youth Network._
