About us
The AoC/The Arts of Change is a small business in NON_PROFIT_ASSOCIATION in Dudley DY1 1HA. We are agile, creative, encouraging and engaging.
We have exciting part-time paid work for a local professional and registered counsellor or therapist, who has professional experience and enjoys working with children, young people and adults.
You will be working mainly at our Central Dudley base and where needed online on a sessional/part-time basis.
You will be supporting children, on a one-to-one basis, as young as 3 years to young people aged 16/17 years and adults 18+ with a range of psychological, emotional and social difficulties.
You must also have appropriate and professional clinical supervision in place prior to starting work with The AoC Trust who are able to supervise your clinical work with children, young people and/or with adults.
Clean driving licence, desirable but not essential.
Interviews will be held at our lovely and welcoming offices, prior to your commencement of this exciting and vital work.
We require a therapist or counsellor from the following modalities (however, the list is not exhaustive) and if you are applying, please attach with your up-to-date CV, all your relevant qualifications, prior to your interview:
- Creative Art Therapists (eg dramatherapists, play therapists, music therapists, art therapists, dance movement therapists)
- Integrative Counsellors.
- Walking or Eco Therapy
- Therapeutic/attachment focused parenting support counsellors and therapist.
- Therapeutic life story work therapists or counsellors.
- Psychotherapist.
- Solution focused BRIEF therapist.
- Person-Centred Counsellor.
- Gestalt Counsellor.
- Systemic Family Therapist.
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapist.
- Therapist and Counsellor trained to deliver Group programmes desirable.
- Therapist and Counsellor trained in supporting sexualised behaviour / sexually harmful behaviour desirable.
You will be managed by award winning The AoC Trust (The Arts of Change Trust.)
You must be hard working, punctual, friendly, professional at all times, able to work with children creatively, young people and/or adults on your own as well as in a team, excellent communication skills and be literate.
You will be expected to keep regular written reports on therapy sessions and liaise regularly with our referrers and partners.
Salary:
£20.00-£35.00 per hour

We are keeping our clients and staff team safe during COVID-19 and new variants, by continuing to observe social distancing at our centre in Dudley, and where possible at other locations you may work and provide PPE stations in our counselling rooms.
