An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and time serviced production supervisor. This is a permanent role. The salary is depending on experience


Job Purpose:

Reporting to the production manager you will supervise two lead hands and their team to ensure that productivity is optimized and that the quality of product is manufactured to the required standard.

To work with the maintenance engineer to carry out breakdown, planned and preventative maintenance, installations and repairs in order to ensure the objectives of the business are met.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Ensuring the manufacture of good quality products in a timely manner.
• Making sure that activities are carried out in a safe manner
• Leading a team to ensure maximum achievable productivity
• Ensuring raw material stocks are maintained and matching
• Dealing with any maintenance issues which arise
• Ensure that the factory and working areas are kept clean and tidy
• Responsible for the security of the building after hours.
• Ensure all H & S responsibilities are adhered to and reporting of such problems is done immediately
• Become involved with suppliers.
• Ensure that company rules are adhered to with respect to mobile phones, break times
• Ensure that the necessary tools are available to allow the most cost effective manufacturing of product

Skills and experienced required:
Previous production / machinery work - Essential
Self-motivated and the ability to make good solid business decisions - Essential

£23,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
