Chichester Hospital | Secretarial | Bank | £12 per hour

We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank Medical Secretary to join our team at Nuffield Health Chichester Hospital.

Working on the Bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis, supporting our team of nine Medical Secretaries who all require sickness and annual leave cover throughout the year, so we are looking for a reliable pair of hands to look after our expert Consultants.

Hours are variable and where possible planned well in advance, but we will need regular support and can generally work around most schedules to make this a good fit for all parties.

The Opportunity

As a Bank Medical Secretary, you will:
Deliver high quality administration support and have excellent Audio Typing skills.

Enjoy the satisfaction of providing truly exceptional customer service.

Prioritise a busy workload, whilst also keeping calm under pressure and remaining professional at all times.

The Person

To succeed as a Medical Secretary, you will need:
A keen eye for detail.

Strong secretarial skills; excellent Audio Typing experience essential.

Great organisation skills

Excellent communication abilities.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office whilst being comfortable working with numbers.

Nuffield Health Chichester Hospital

Nuffield Health Chichester Hospital is a 30 bedded hospital within walking distance of the city centre with free onsite car parking.

The hospital has two laminar flow operating theatres, a JAG accredited endoscopy unit and two minor treatment rooms in the outpatient department.

There is a small radiology department and CT/ MRI services are provided in a mobile unit.

Inpatient physiotherapy is provided within the hospital whilst our outpatients attend the fitness and wellbeing centre at Chichester gate for their follow up physio and hydrotherapy treatments.

Our main speciality is orthopaedics.

We also care for patients needing treatment within the specialties of gynaecology, urology, general surgery, plastic surgery, ophthalmology max fax, and pain.

We provide outpatient services for dermatology, cardiology, neurology, and rheumatology.

We were rated "Outstanding" at our last CQC inspection.

We pride ourselves on being a small, but welcoming and friendly Hospital who care for our staff as well as our patients.
