**Looking for a personal assistant to provide physical support to enable a young, intelligent adult to do day to day activities.

  • Job Title: Female
  • Personal Assistant (PA)
  • Hours: 3 x 1.25 hour shifts /week + overtime. Can be negotiated. Mainly weekday mornings.
  • Salary: £12 per hour
  • Location: Seacroft, Leeds. Near Fearnville Playing fields.
  • Main purpose: To provide physical support to enable a young, intelligent person to do day to day activities.
**Main Tasks

  • To provide personal care support for hair washing and dressing etc.
  • 2. To assist in the preparation of meals, and hot drinks and the associated kitchen duties.
  • 3. To assist in general household chores such as tidying, cleaning and washing.
  • 4. To prompt and assist with medication.
  • 5. To make hot water bottles.
  • 7. To assist in using a computer and other electronic devices.
  • 8. To assist in the preparation for the daily activities, eg packing a bag.
  • 9. To assist in accessing facilities and activities in the community eg changing for swimming and being a physical presence in the water.
  • 10. To maintain clear and accurate records as determined by the employer including timesheets and financial records and agree and sign the timesheets.
  • 11. To attend relevant training sessions.
  • 12. To carry out any other reasonable duties as required by the employer.
  • 13. To maintain and uphold the strictest confidentiality even after employment has ceased.

Person Specification

  • ESSENTIAL:
Must be female

  • Female applicants required as some personal care is required
To be a good listener and follow instructions

  • To have a positive attitude and an open mind to disability
  • To be able to cook and clean
  • To be able to work on own initiative
  • To be willing to be flexible and available
  • To have a patient and caring attitude
  • To be willing to learn
  • To be reliable and punctual
  • To be organised and have good timekeeping
  • To have a good level of verbal and written English
  • You must complete a DBS check for this role
  • DESIRABLE_:
  • To be able to swim
  • To be able to drive
  • To have experience as a Support Worker or Personal Assistant
  • To have experience of working with disabled people
To be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
