Maintenance Engineer

Location - Ramsgate

Salary - £35K - £42K DOE
Do you have 3-5 years of experience in mechanical and electrical systems maintenance?
Are you able to interpret mechanical & Electrical drawings?

Are you able to work with sub-contractors to assist with maintenance, repairs, and modifications?

Responsibilities

Carry out site repairs and modifications on mechanical and electrical equipment
Mechanical fault finding on pumps, gearboxes, lathes, grinding machines, and boring machines
Machine strip downs and rebuilds
Planned and preventive maintenance
Mechanical installation including pipe fitting and machine moves
Electrical fault finding on both single and threephase systems
Electrical installation work including panel building
Pat testing
Programming temperature PID controllers
Perform safe isolation and lockout of equipment
Create risk assessment/method statements
Accurately record and document maintenance activities using the maintenance system
Escalate any faults
Perform out of hours work when necessary
Participate in the creation of standard working documents, local instructions etc
Work with subcontractors to assist with maintenance, repairs, and modifications
Assist with the control, ordering, and replenishment of spare parts and components
Any other duties as deemed reasonable

Skills and Experience

35 years, experience working within maintenance or repairs engineer role.
A strong knowledge of electrical systems
Mechanical experience in maintaining plant equipment
Experience undertaking general fabrication work
Able to read and interpret electrical and mechanical technical drawings
Proven ability to fault find on electrical and mechanical systems
Engineering HNC/HND qualification or equivalent
Excellent analytical, faultfinding, and problemsolving skills
Strong organisational and planning abilities
Cost conscious
Wellversed in relevant software (e.g., CAD, MS Office, MS Project)
Excellent attention to detail
