Our EMEA CDO seeking to hire a finance data governance professional with expertise working hands on with finance reports and processes.

The EMEA Chief Data Office (CDO) has responsibility to deliver the UK data quality programme in addition to a broad remit to implement and embed improved data governance and data management practices throughout the EMEA region.

The UK data quality programme, centered on addressing regulator feedback on Citi's approach to data, has the following objectives:1) Establish a UK entity-focused book of work that delivers significant regulatory, control and commercial benefits including remediation of material data quality issues

2) Strengthen Senior Manager engagement in data quality initiatives, including BCBS 239 and front-to-back working groups

3) Improve engagement with the regulator

4) Establish connection with strategically important programmes and,

5) Demonstrate engagement and influence with the global Group Transformation initiative.

Exposure to various facets of data governance (e.g. glossary, data quality rules, data lineage) in a finance context is essential.

The role offers the opportunity to be involved in a strategic enterprise data programme and showcase knowledge of UK / US regulatory reporting.

The role will require familiarity with a variety of project management approaches and interaction with senior programme leads and sponsors, products, and functions globally.

Given the scale, complexity, and ambition of Citi's global data transformation, the EMEA CDO team is dynamic, agile, flexible, and responsive to fast changing needs.

This role will need to be adept at working in this environment, handle ambiguity and complexity well, be able to deliver on multiple responsibilities and most importantly be extremely 'hands on'.

Responsibilities:

Partner with Finance (Local and Global), Technology and Data providers to define scope, issues and data requirements to support Financial Reporting
Partner with Finance (Local and Global), Technology and Data providers to monitor delivery of Tactical and Strategic fixes as required by Citi Data Operating Model for Finance use cases
Provide Finance input into related strategic architecture efforts
Responsible for tracking and delivering Data as defined in the Finance plan
Responsible for ensuring the risk reduction metrics linked to the Risk use case are on track to meet targets; document and escalate any risks, issues or challenges that might impact Finance ability to meet those requirements
Act as a SME across products and financial reporting.
Manage relationships with finance leaders to drive data quality agenda progress.
Perform analysis of DQ issues
Support Managers with status reports and presentation content. Guide data analysis and reporting processes that include collection from multiple sources, validation of data and assembly and presentation of required data.

Experience:

Strong Banking or Financial Services Experience, Project Management experience, ideally with expertise in finance and data goverance
Excellent communications skills
Demonstrated facility to interact and work effectively with diverse teams
Ability to lead projects with multiple counterparts across organizations
Ability to work under pressure, facilitate discussions and conduct group mee

Education:

Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
