A large development company with sustainability at the forefront of their vision, are looking to recruit a Buyer to join their experience construction team based on site, in St Austell.


Duties will include:


  • Research, select and purchase quality products and material.
  • Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate the best price, quantities and delivery timescales.
  • Update inventory and manage stock levels.
  • Prepare and raise PO's and order schedules.
  • Understand the target market and analysing trends.
  • Work closely with the site team and management to understand their requirements.
  • Monitor the stock quality and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management.

Essential Criteria:


  • Construction/housing experience within buying is essential.
  • Must be commercial aware, able to make decisions and will have strong negotiation skills
  • Must be IT literate
  • High level of analytical & maths skills
  • Local supply chain knowledge and relationships
On offer is a salary ranging from £40,000-£50,000 depending on experience. This is a full-time role based in the office, on site in St Austell.
