We are looking for a Plant Operator to join our Operations team in Bioresources North.

If you can bring a can-do attitude, with an enthusiastic and flexible approach, then this role will be a great fit for you.

If you are used to working outside, in a practical hands-on role, and have experience in working collaboratively as part of a team with a strong understanding of the importance of health and safety, then we want to hear from you


The role


The role of an Operator involves the operation and maintenance of conventional sewage treatment plants and pumping stations to meet quality standards.

This role also has the responsibilities associated with working on a biodigestion site and sludge reception centre.

You will be involved in running advanced wastewater treatment and sludge process plants. You will also play a big part in the team by ensuring compliance with company policy, processes and procedures.

You must also ensure the health, safety and welfare of all colleagues, the public and yourself at all times. You may be required to provide emergency cover as required on the standby rota.


What do I need?
To succeed in this role, having previous experience of general maintenance on electrical or mechanical equipment would be desirable. You must be hard working and enthusiastic to learn new skills and processes.


You will need to be flexible by working hours that include weekends and performing standby duties on a regular basis.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors and has good communication skills.

We provide extensive training in confined space working and plant operating, amongst many other technical courses available.

A valid full UK manual driving licence is essential for this requirement.
