Internal Controls and Assurance Officer - Inside IR35

Contract Term: 11 months

As a Internal Controls and Assurance Officer your main responsibilities would be:

The role is an opportunity for the post holder to provide invaluable support to the team by owning the delivery of key processes and pieces of work in a variety of areas that affect Internal Controls and Assurance.


  • Dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Providing support on contingent labour service
  • Manage the monitoring of Government Internal Audit Agency (GIAA) actions, working with GIAA and action owners to ensure they are delivered. This links into Audit and Risk Assurance Committee (ARAC) and Performance and Risk Committee (P&R) updates.
  • Working collaboratively with business with guidance on queries that come through to the Internal Controls mailbox.
  • Ensuring that the department's delegations remain up to date and accurate, and that this information can be used to ensure that appropriate authorities to approve spend are maintained on Oracle.
  • Support Freedom of Information (FOI) or Prime Minister's Questions (PQ)
  • Assisting with putting controls and processes in place to drive the culture of compliance in all areas within ICCA remit and beyond.
