Assessment Coordinator (known in the business as End Point Assessment Coordinator) to join our Qualifications and Partnerships Team.

About the role:


Our Assessment Coordinator supports the team in the timely delivery of a robust Apprenticeship End Point Assessment (EPA) programme in line with agreed parameters.

You will support the team in providing a high quality, efficient, and responsive service both internally and externally whilst adhering to CIM standards across all assessment processes, ensuring they comply with regulatory requirements.

You will also assist the Assessment Leader in the continuing development and monitoring of End Point Services.

  • Hybrid working is fully embedded in CIM's company culture. Our Qualifications and Partnerships team follow a model of both onsite and remote working, currently 2 days office based / 3 days remote per week._

In a typical day, you might:

  • Support the processes for the timely completion of all Apprenticeship End Point Assessments from the registration of apprentices, liaison with employers and training providers, through to arrangement of online assessments and certification.
  • Maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders (apprentices, training providers, employers, assessors, customer experience team, awarding body team, partnerships team).
  • Assist with the formatting of CIM templates and assessment materials: both examinations (paper and online) and assignments.
  • Support the process of ensuring that professional standards and confidentiality are maintained that security arrangements are applied to all assessments/contact information.
  • Support the development of the assessment materials and guidance for all apprenticeship standards.
  • Support the development of all guidance materials and documents relating to EPA are updated and are accessible for the assessment team and external stakeholders
  • Respond to queries from stakeholders and the assessment team relating to assessments and the EPA process.
  • Ensure that all contact Service Level Agreement (SLAs) are met relating to Apprenticeships
  • Contribute and provide support to the Customer Experience
  • Contribute and provide support to the Customer Experience
team on queries from apprentices/employers/training providers about scheduling EPAs.

  • Support with audit and quality checks as required
  • Support the Assessment Leader and Delivery Manager in producing statistics relating to apprentices registered for EPA and progress throughout their journey.
  • Assist in the timely response to all standard enquiries in relation to apprenticeship provision and EPAO enquires escalating non
- standard enquires to the Assessment Assistant Manager

  • Assist the Assessment Assistant Manager to liaise with apprentices, apprenticeship providers and External Assessors to support the delivery of the End Point Assessment across a variety of apprenticeship standards.
  • Support the Assessment Leader/Assessment Delivery Manager to recruit the Assessing team.
  • Assist the Assessment Leader in liaising with the Assessing Team to ensure representation at standardisation meetings and Exam Boards
  • Assist the Assessment Leader in scanning samples for standardisation.
  • Work collaboratively with Assessment Leader to support Awarding Body requirements and demands of the department

For this role, you'll need:


  • Educated to A Level standard as a minimum or equivalent qualification
  • GCSE Maths and English to C grade as a minimum or equivalent
  • Ability to cope under pressure and persevere
  • Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability with supervision to manage priorities, multitask and ensure processes run smoothly
  • Evidence of good time management skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Able to work to deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience/knowledge of post 16 education (ideally apprenticeships) would be advantageous
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to act on own initiative and consult where appropriate with line management
  • Ability to be innovative and demonstrate an openness to change
