Rota planning and management; ordering and stock control; day-to-day supervision and task allocation of the Facilities team; monitoring sickness/absence; carrying out return to work meetings and quarterly staff supervisions; holding staff meetings; training & inductions; annual leave allocation and approval; various audits; scheduling for deep cleans.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Facilities team.
Based at Bognor Regis War Memorial Hospital, the successful applicant will also be required to support at additional sites when required.
You will have proven experience within a Facilities team, ideally in a hospital environment, with an excellent understanding and knowledge of soft FM disciplines, namely Domestic, Housekeeping, and Catering, as well as an understanding of third party contracts commensurate with a soft FM service.
You should be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team, and be able to assess workloads and prioritise effectively.
You will need to have excellent communication skills, good IT skills, flexibility to provide team cover and the ability to train, lead and motivate the team to make sure a high quality, professional service is delivered to patients and staff at all times.
The Facilities Team are a friendly group of individuals who form part of the Facilities Management Team for Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust.
We are responsible for the soft FM services (cleaning, portering, housekeeping, catering, & admin) and, across all the Trust sites, there are just under 300 of us.
We are the main provider of NHS community services in Brighton and Hove, West Sussex, and the High Weald, Lewes and Havens area of East Sussex.
Our 6,000 staff serve a population of 1.3 million and provide essential medical, nursing, and therapeutic care to more than 9,000 adults and children ever single day.
