The Richmond Business School is currently recruiting for variable hours tutors to deliver skills or certificated provision at either our Parkshot, Richmond or Hillcroft, Surbiton campus.


About you


We are looking for an individual/s with excellent knowledge and an ability to reach learners at a range of levels, and who can demonstrate they can create an exciting and creative learning environment.

They need to ideally have industrial experience and be qualified to a level above the level they are to teach.

Experience in assessing programmes at Level 2 or 3 is desirable.

It is advantageous to hold a Level 5 teaching qualification and an appropriate amount of teaching experience. An Assessor Qualification e.g., TAAQ or equivalent is desirable, or willingness to work towards this qualification.


Those with related industrial experience, some teaching experience and strong communication skills can be considered for RHACC's internal teacher training programme by first undertaking a Level 3 Educating and Training Award, TAQA Assessor qualification and then the L5 Diploma in Education and Training.

These qualifications will be paid for on behalf of the RHACC.


About job - Specialist Study Skills Tutor (Variable Hours)


This requires delivery as part of an Access to Higher education Diploma which has specific units on study skills such as Finding and Reading Information, Examination skills, Speaking and Listening, Essay writing, Presentation skills.

The work is approximately a day per week over a year.


Tutors work closely with Programme Managers in the design, planning and delivery of courses to stretch and challenge our learners, as well as prepare a variety of learning materials, provide guidance to learners on progression options, attend termly meetings and contribute to CPD and training as required to keep up to date.
