Butler Rose, public practice is delighted to be supporting our client, a highly prominent and well known and respected Central London firm, now part of an award-winning top 10 firm, that are eager to appoint an experienced Tax Manager or Senior Manager levelto complement the successful M & A tax advisory department.

Role Requirements

  • The M&A tax advisory department is led by three partners who each have more than a decade of experience working in the Big 4 on M&A and broader entrepreneurial businesses advisory projects, advising businesses and their owners from start up through to exit.

The role will suit an ambitious manager or senior manager with experience of taking a lead role on running advisory work on a wide range of shareholder driven tax matters in private companies, including buy and sell side M&A advisory, due diligence, company/businessreorganisations and demergers, fundraising/refinancing events, ownership succession, management buy-outs, and equity incentive arrangements.

The role will be almost wholly advisory focused, with compliance responsibilities limited to the reporting of complex transactions where necessary.

Your experience may be weighted more towards the personal or corporate level advice in the types of areas above,but with a good awareness of the other.


Key responsibilities and duties will include the following:
Wholly or partly running the delivery of tax advisory services on a project-by-project basis, working directly with partners in Entrepreneurial Business tax team

Working very closely with partners on advisory projects to develop skills and experience directly on the job, including being part of advisory meetings, joining advisory calls with clients, contributing to internal brain-storming sessions and liaison with otherprofessional advisers.

Being the first point of contact for many clients.
Supervision and training of junior staff.
Ensuring all risk procedures are adhered to.
Contributing to business development activities in the Entrepreneurial Business space.

You will be involved with a wide range of clients, so experience dealing with clients across different sectors is desirable but not essential.
