WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOU

  • This is a fulltime, temporarytopermanent position.
  • You will be made permanent after 3 months, following a successful probationary period.
  • You will receive a starting rate of pay of £10.00 per hour which will rise to £10.50 once you become permanent
  • You will work 40 hours a week from 9.00am until 5.30pm Monday
  • Friday (with 30 minutes' unpaid lunch break each day).
  • Benefits include 22 days' annual leave a year (plus bank holidays) and this will increase every year up to a maximum of 25 days.
  • The business also operates other incentives to encourage team work and strength in performance.

THE BUSINESS


An established and growing North East employer is looking to appoint a Customer Booking Agent to join one of their busy teams on a temporary-to-permanent contract.

If you carry experience in customer service and administration and enjoy working in a fast-pacedenvironment, this could be a great opportunity for you to gain stable employment.

THE ROLE
As a Customer Booking agent, you will be responsible for booking appointments with customers, clients and engineers. This will see you handling inbound calls, making outbound calls and completing supporting admin tasks.


Your duties will include:

  • Booking customer, client and engineer appointments
  • Ensuring jobs have the right engineer assigned at the correct time
  • Planning service calls on behalf of engineers and building excellent relationships with them
  • Filling engineer's diaries with customer appointments, optimising time and efficiency
  • Accurately updating all client portals throughout the process, including using a number of systems and updating Excel spreadsheets
  • Producing and sending quotes to customers
  • Taking payments from customers and raising invoices
Importantly, you will adhere to client and company SLA's on a daily basis.


THE PERSON
To be considered for the Customer Booking Agent role you will:

  • Be experienced working in customer service in a role where you have handled telephone calls
  • Have an excellent telephone manner and customer service skills
  • Have strong administration skills
  • Be competent using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Be able to work from head office (with flexibility to work from home longer term)
  • Bring an enthusiastic, friendly and professional approach
