About the role
We are recruiting for an enthusiastic and versatile Business Support and Data Officer to join our supportive and talented team.
You will be passionate about using your knowledge and experience to further the important work of UP in supporting children andyoung people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs to reach their full potential.
This is a new role to our charity, in response to our growth, and you will play a key part in supporting our services and future plans.
Able to thrive in a versatile and busy role, you will be confident in working with data and IT, possess effective researchingand writing skills, and have the ability to build effective internal and external stakeholder relationships.
Working closely alongside the Director of Business Development and Safeguarding, there will be genuine opportunity to learn, work innovatively and to make this role your own, and scope for development and increased responsibilities over time.
You will work alongside an experienced, energetic and innovative team of charity colleagues who are working together to develop high-quality support and solutions for some of the most challenging needs facing children.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analytics and Reporting:
- Support the collection of impact and feedback data
- Support the organisation's use of data to improve performance
- Support with writing impact reports for internal and external audiences
- Ensure accurate reporting to internal and external stakeholders including SLT, Board and funders
- Database maintenance, technical problem solving and development
- Data quality auditing
- Monitoring impact and outcome measurements for UP's programmes
- Supporting the Director of Business Development with safeguarding reporting
- Training staff to use our databases and developing training materials
- Proactively ensure GDPR compliance
Marketing:
- Coordinating UP's Social media account activity, writing engaging marketing copy and brief
- Coordinating publicity for campaigns (e.g. children's mental health week) and recruitment drives
- Developing marketing materials
- Collating case studies and quotes to use in promotion of UP's work and fundraising activity
- Facilitating internal communications and events
- Website maintenance and development
Business Support:
- Conducting research and supporting the Director of Business Development with:
- New income and partnership development opportunities
- Existing partnerships
- UP's growth strategy
- Administrative tasks to enable delivery of the charity's strategy and objectives
- Assisting with engaging service users in the design and development of our work

Key Details
Hours:
Full Time (5 days per week, 37.5 hours)
Location:
In-office (Borough London) and remote working
Salary:
£25,000 - £35,000 per annum (full time salary, dependent on skills and experience)
Manager:
This role will report to the Director of Business Development and Safeguarding
