Employment and Skills Hub Outreach (ESHO) Employment and Skills Coordinator

Based at Gloucestershire Employment and Skills Hub, Gloucester working in various across the County with some home working
Job Description:
The Employment and Skills Hub Outreach (ESHO) project provides 1:1 support for people across Gloucestershire who are economically inactive to help them achieve their employment and skills
aspirations.
Delivered by 10 voluntary and community sector (VCS) organisations working either within a geographical location or with a specific participant group the project will provide participants with community-based support across the Gloucestershire, working with a broad range of partners to
deliver holistic and person-centred interventions.
The role of the Employment and Skills Coordinator (ESC) is to provide 1:1 holistic support for participants using vocational profiling and action planning.
Vocational Profiles and Action Plans and ESCs will work as part of a larger team covering Gloucestershire.
The line management of ESCs will remain with their employer however there will be ongoing support from Gloucestershire County Council (GCC) that each ESC will be expected to take part in, including team meetings and case conferences along with additional training as appropriate.
- Help participants raise their aspirations of employment through vocational profiling and identification of suitable job and skills/training goals
- Provide participants with an individual action plan regularly assessing progress against objectives and goals
- Develop tangible and sustainable partnerships with a range of organisations (e.g. voluntary and community sector support organisations, training providers, employment providers) in order to better support project participants
- Develop an understanding of local labourmarket demographics and work with local employers
- Facilitate Work Clubs where appropriate, encouraging involvement from a range of local partners
- Deliver sustainable outcomes for individuals with a range of barriers to employment
- Complete and monitor vocational profiles, action plans and other paperwork to required standard and undertaking followup actions as required
- Promote a positive attitude towards employment to individuals, families, carers and other professionals
- A positive "can do" approach to problem solving
- Experience of supporting people who are furthest from the labour market
- Experience of supporting people to achieve employment and skills outcomes
- Good communication skills, including the ability to actively listen and respond to the needs, of
- Established relationships with and awareness of the services provided by a range of voluntary
- Experience of working with communities across Gloucestershire and people who have multiple
- Experience of working with individuals to collect and record personal data including the setting
- The ability to both work as part of a team and on their own initiative
- A creative approach to problem solving and project development
