We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and dynamic _
Operations Team Leader _to join our team in North Kilworth, Leicestershire on a full time, permanent basis.
It is an interesting and challenging _
hands-on role_, perhaps best described as a hybrid role, as it requires a varied skill set, from practical warehouse experience, to liaison and communication with our customers and other areas of the business to take ownership & manage market operations and ecommerce orders.

The role & Opportunity
The Operations Team Leader will be responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the operational Processes and will oversee Markets & Drivers, Goods In & Out, Stock & Systems, and Health & Safety.
The right person
- Be proficient in supervising a team of people to achieve targets
- Have previous experience within a production background (does not have to be food production)
- Have knowledge of Stock and/or Warehouse Management Systems.
- Display a sense of ownership of tasks and a desire to get the job done to an accurate and timely manner
- Be available to work on an any 5 from 7 shift pattern, 45 hours per week & more during busy times
- As a manager within the business be allocated to an on call rota for Weekend/Market cover
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the key targets and daily activities of each department are achieved within agreed timescales and guidelines.
- Assist with the management of the inhouse Stock and Processing system to ensure the Production Team have accurate resources to fulfil the Production Schedule without any delays in processing.
- Assisting with the management of all types of orders through the business
- Ensuring all Wholesale, Website & Market orders are correctly allocated and processed to ensure accuracy for our customers.
- Manage the end to end market process
- Ensuring all marketeers have the correct allocation of stock, correct resources to manage their market stalls and deal with any stock queries they may have.
- The running, overseeing & participation of the business retail outlets/markets based in London.
- Manage the driver and staff pool to ensure the correct, and consistent level of marketeer cover is maintained.
- Ensuring that all stock is correctly located, counted and accurate to allow efficient processing and an excellent level of Customer Service is maintained.
- Manage the products on the system for description accuracy and input new products when required
- Assist with the management of the company website back office relating to new products and stock levels
- Manage the consumables products for the business ensuring timely reorder to not delay production.
- Assist, where required, working in the production areas.
- Ensuring that all Department staff have the skills necessary to consistently carry out their duties to the required standards and that training documents are completed and kept up to date.
- Ensure that all relevant food safety procedures are adhered to and to highlight any issues seen. To be involved in the investigations into any procedural nonconformances & customer complaint investigations.
- Ensuring, via the use of the appropriate mechanisms including staff awareness training, team briefings etc. that the department's performance against the relevant Key Performance Indicators is communicated on a regular basis.
- Ensure that staff are effectively managed from recruitment and selection through to discipline and grievance handling.

Salary:
£24,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
