About the Health Education team
The Health Ed team is a specialist division focusing on medical education. We work across a diverse range of therapeutic areas including neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, nephrology, transplantation, rheumatology and vaccines. Our programmes span pre
- and post-launch with global, region Europe and UK accounts. We have a diverse range of projects and work collaboratively with our clients to deliver creative and impactful medical education that makes a difference to patients and healthcare professionals.


What is the role?


As an associate director in the company, you will be responsible for leading one of our key global medical education accounts.

You will ensure the account team as a whole—both client and scientific services—is running efficiently and effectively to deliver client work in a timely manner while upholding the highest of standards.

You will ensure that client work is delivered within project briefs and the allocated budget.

You will be the senior day-to-day account lead and point of client contact, and will proactively cultivate the client relationship, and seek new business opportunities in line with their strategic objectives and vision.


What will you be doing?

  • Oversee designated account, appropriately directing account team activity on a daytoday basis
  • Provide direction, inspiration and strategic counsel to the account team
  • Monitor account progress against set targets and make necessary changes to activity to achieve these
  • Take accountability for the profitable management of accounts and team budgets
  • Provide direction and guidance on identified organic growth opportunities
  • Maintain client contact daily regarding live projects and pipeline projects
  • Take responsibility for client satisfaction and retention
  • Lead on quarterly client reviews, including preparation of meeting agendas and driving meetings
  • Contribute to plans and suggest ideas for account projects in line with client strategy
  • Line manage more junior client service team members, being responsible for setting their developmental objectives, identifying and organising appropriate training needs, and proactively seeking opportunities to enhance their career progression

What are we looking for?

  • A medical communications career spanning a minimum of 10 years
  • Currently an associate director within their existing agency
  • Senior account director experience within a medical communications agency spanning a minimum of 2 years
  • Minimum of a BSc in biomedical sciences
  • Experience of working on fastpaced global accounts
  • Experience in global congress work (both symposia and booths)
