Job Summary
The Theatrical Sales team helps to ensure the commercial value of all Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures (WDSMP) theatrical releases are fully exploited across all theatrical brands.
This role reports to, and supports, the Account Manager to ensure WDSMP films are given the best possible theatrical release.
The Opportunity and Responsibility
- Provide support to the Sales Team with all aspects of Theatrical Distribution including keeping exhibitors up to date with all Disney forthcoming theatrical release plans, building relationships with all current UK exhibitors, helping to optimise sales and playing time across all Disney theatrical releases
- Manage smaller circuit/s and selected independent clients to meet sales targets and client satisfaction
- Manage key and ad hoc projects such as marathons, 'bringbacks', and anniversaries
- Monitor the progress of all WDSMP releases _against the agreed sales strategy_, flagging and resolving issues as necessary, reporting data back to the Director of Theatrical Sales. Helping to identify trends and potential opportunities
- Maintain an in depth understand of the theatrical systems and processes
- Promote best practice process across EMEA both in terms of systems and process
- Liaise with internal and external partners, building relationships and effectively communicating to help dive sales and profitability, fostering relationships to help with daily operations
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Publicity, Technical and Finance teams
- Previous sales experience
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and succinctly with partners within a matrix organisation
- Proven ability to assess and improve on processes to drive efficiencies
- Previous experience within the Film Distribution Industry will be an advantage
- Communication verbal, written, presentations, meetings, record keeping
- Collaboration and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Proven ability to thrive in a pressured, numbers orientated and frequently deadline driven environment
Additional Information
- Occasional UK based travel and overnight stays required
- Occasional attendance of developmental courses as required
