Job Title:
General Process Operative

Type of Employment:
Permanent

Salary:
Competitive

Location:
Holmfirth

Shift Pattern: 2pm-10pm

Main Purpose of Job:

To assist in the processing of fabrics for dyeing and finishing


Key Tasks and Accountabilities:


  • Weighing and sewing of fabrics
  • Operation of various machines on the site and ensuring these are in a clean and safe condition
  • Loading and unloading of machines with both dry and wet fabrics
  • Ensuring fabric quality is maintained whilst processing and packaging these for the next machine processes
  • Operating an electric pulling machine and stacker machine
  • Operating a Forklift truck
  • Following Procedures on Worksheets for different fabric qualities
  • Assisting other departments in the general operation of machines
  • Reporting any faults or inconsistencies to management
  • Adhering to health and safety policies and safe systems of work

Education / Skills / Knowledge / Experience

  • Good hand eye coordination
  • Be able to follow instructions
  • Communicate effectively
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£10.42-£12.07 per hour


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
