You will work in a professional environment next to junior and senior engineers and consultants.

Initially you will be supporting a growing number of sustainability projects and liaising directly with client design and construction teams.


Within these projects your responsibilities will primarily involve:

  • Assisting with the implementation of sustainability benchmarking systems, primarily BREEAM, Home Quality Mark and DREAM.
  • Technical analysis of energy and sustainability strategies;
  • Producing high quality reports, attending client meetings;
  • Providing advise to project teams on a suitable certification strategy:
  • Provide strategy and feasibility studies related to credit compliance, and to assist in design-making process of the Client and project team;
  • Work with the project QS on quantifying any additional costs related to certification;
  • Leading sustainability workshops with clients and design and construction team;
  • Assign and manage team responsibilities;
  • Proactively drive the completion of credit templates and calculations, assisting the team as questions arise;
  • Assist in the completion of LEED, Fitwel and WELL certifications;
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals and bids, as part business development activities, including assisting with contract reviews;
  • Assist with project management and financial management processes, through the use of company account systems;
  • Working closely with other MM regional and international offices.


As outlined above, you will be expected to proactively participate in business development activities, project management and financial management and other types of projects related to sustainability in the built environment.

The work will be primarily office-based with occasional travel to site meetings domestically and internationally.


Development opportunities include support for chartership, conference presentations, industry engagement in addition to corporate training courses, participation in internal networks such as the Early Career Professionals group and mentoring.


  • Have a keen interest and enthusiasm for sustainability in buildings and infrastructure;
  • Highly numerate with experience using Excel;
  • Excellent writing skills;
  • Confident with good social skills;
  • Adaptable, with a methodical and problemsolving mind;
  • Be a versatile and quick thinker;
  • Show willingness and ability to pick up new concepts quickly;
  • Be proactive and motivated;
  • Have proven experience in reasoning and presenting a convincing argument.

Required qualifications:

  • 2.1 or above bachelor degree in a science, architectural or engineering discipline.
  • Good knowledge of Excel and other data management software.
  • BREEAM Assessor
  • Experience with preparing presentations, business development and direct client relationships.
  • Experience of presenting technical information in a coherent and accessible way to a nontechnical audience.
  • Chartered or enroute to chartership.

Preferred qualifications:

  • BREEAM AP
  • Knowledge of energy modelling platform, such as SBEM, IES VE etc;
  • A good understanding of Net Zero, embodied carbon and associated legislation and business drivers;
  • A working knowledge of LEED or WELL.
