The Head of Assurance role
You will be responsible for areas such as;

Development and successful implement of SRMs Assurance strategy by supporting plans which delivers an integrated management system.
Development of infrastructure to support delivery of a positive culture associated with assurance, our systems and their utilisation.
Providing leadership to the wider SRM management teams and functions through a consistent assurance approach.
Interpreting and relaying applicable legislation, best practice and standards to advise on relevant changes to Sir Robert McAlpine's policies and procedures.
Champion the use of the company management system, engage with the Engineering and Technical Services teams and Subject matter experts to ensure continuous improvement of our systems.
Acting as the lead auditor for the business, develop and deliver a comprehensive audit program.
Managing ISO and other certification schemes in line with SRM's business strategy.
Speak publicly on assurance at external conferences/events and lead awareness events to build knowledge, capacity and capability at all levels within SRM
Providing leadership, coaching and development for the Assurance team.
Working with external stakeholders and further develop our external reputation by acting as the company representative at Industry/Regulatory body discussions, ensuring Sir Robert McAlpine's best interests are represented.

Your profile
Ideally you'll;

Chartered to a relevant industry body (eg CQI, CIOB, ICE or equivalent)
Have a track record of successfully leading and delivering integrated management systems certified to external standards
Experience of systems such as triaster, fieldview etc. would be advantageous.
Knowledge of successfully navigating external PQQ audits eg Achilles Building Confidence.
Have evidence of building relationships and partnerships, both internally and externally, to drive a culture of assurance at an individual, team and company level.
Have examples of winning acceptance for assurance in all aspects of business operations and SRM's strategic business objectives.
Lead internal/external auditor qualifications for the standards (eg ISO's).
Have experience of construction management software systems such as FieldView etc. would be advantageous.
