Description

The Operations Team Lead role will be responsible for all day to day running of the LMS operations team, supporting the Operations Manager with all aspects associated with production, assembly, manufacturing, repairs, calibrations, and any other aspects associated with the LMS operations department.

Assistance with R&D projects and engineering. To identify and assist with training and continued development of staff members.


Responsible for:

The principal duties of this position include, but not limited to, the main responsibilities detailed below:

  • Leadership and mentoring of the Operations Team.
  • Responsible for all workshop duties associated with the manufacturing, production and testing of products including, Strain Gauging, sub assembly process, QA, testing, calibration, repairs evaluation and corrective action.
  • Support the Operations Manager and Technical Manager in the development of manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment.
  • Responsibility for QHSE requirements.
  • Improve manufacturing efficiency by analysing, planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
  • Whilst every attempt will be made to plan and coordinate any business travel in advance, there may be exceptional occasions where travel is required at short notice.
  • Direct contact with the customers to coordinate any requests for technical support, repairs, or installation works.
  • Promote a strong customer care ethic and maintain good rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommending system improvements.
  • Ensure company equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
  • Continually improve job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications.
  • Oversee the distribution and coordinate the logistics of goods and products including shipping, packaging, goods in and goods out procedures.
  • Proactive interaction with all company departments with regards to production, product trends, troubleshooting etc.
  • Promote continuous improvements and cost reduction initiatives, maximise productivity and a positive work ethic.
  • Assist with improvement changes to written documentation for all departmental processes and procedures including QMS, ISO, SIRA & ATEX in conjunction with guidelines set by the Technical Manager.
  • Ensure the production and workshop environment is clean and efficiently organised all times. Always ensure safe working and in line with the company Health and Safety policy or in compliance with any customer specific site H&S requirements.
  • Regular collaboration and discussions with all team members and participation in achieving business or corporate goals.
  • As Operations Team Lead you will champion all QHSE policies / procedures and have the responsibility of Health and Safety Representative.
  • All other duties that may be required in the efficient operation of the workshop and production aspect of the business.

Pay:
£35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
