Experienced, Housekeeping Team Member, Contracted Part Time or Full time Position,

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our Housekeeping team at Shortflatt Tower near Belsay, Northumberland.

We Boast Northumberland's most awe inspiring wedding location and exclusive use estate. Steeped in history, our tower and grounds present a picturesque backdrop to the perfect wedding and event.

The Estate dates back to 1257 and has recently been lovingly restored, blending tradition and contemporary flourishes accompanied by fairy tail cottage.


Responsibilities and duties:


To maintain extremely high standards of cleanliness in all properties and public areas of the Estate and Cottages at all times.

Thorough cleaning, Linen changes, Quick and high standard of bed make ups, Bathroom cleaning, Kitchen cleans, deep cleaning when required and checking rooms.


Deliver the highest standards of customer service at all times, meet all guests requests with a friendly, efficiency, politeness and courtesy.

Deal with any issues quickly and efficiently.

To check the bedrooms and public areas each day to ensure that they meet the agreed standards

To report any maintenance issues to the General Manager, ensuring these are dealt with in a timely manner.

Maintain weekly and monthly cleaning checklists for public areas to ensure they are maintained according to the standards required.

To work with the team cleaning rooms to the agreed standard ensuring that guest requests and expectations are met at all times, liaising with the General Manager and Sales team to ensure guest rooms are available to them as and when required

Manage cleaning chemicals and room amenities to ensure adequate stock at all times.

To ensure that all storage and work areas are kept clean and tidy and locked throughout the day

To comply with company policy & project the correct image at all times, ensuring you maintain the standards of Shortflatt Tower throughout the department


The above list is by no means exhaustive and you may be asked to carry out other duties according to the needs of the business.


PREVIOUS REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Previous housekeeping experience, gained within a 4 or 5 star Hotel and holiday lets. Must be able to make beds to 5 star Hotel standard


ESSENTIAL SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work effectively under pressure and ensure rooms are turned around on time.

Excellent organisation skills

Ability to motivate and inspire others and work well in a team.


About You
You will be a friendly, enthusiastic and hard-working individual who enjoys working as part of a team. Excellent attention to detail and a can-do attitude is essential for this role. You will have previous housekeeping experience at a 4 or 5 star level, full training is provided.

£10.50-£11.50 per hour
