About the role:


ABC Teachers are seeking support Worker to work in a Special Educational Needs School in Birmingham to work on a full time basis.

The schools require Support Workers with experience working with disengaged students and students with learning difficulties mainly Autism to provide support on an ad-hoc basis.


About the role:

  • Working with groups of primary aged students in nonmainstream education.
  • Deliver support and help where needed as a Support Mentor.
  • You will be under the instruction of the class teacher but have to work on your own initiative too.
  • Ideal for people seeking flexible work, as the cover for these sessions is required on an adhoc basis.

About you:
To be considered for the Support Mentor position, you will:

  • Have previous experience working with children with a range of abilities and maybe some special education needs.
  • Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students.
  • Suitable qualifications such as Youth Work, Health and Social Care or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools are desired but not essential.
  • Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
