About The Role:


As a Lecturer in our newly established Alternative Provision at EKC Group, you will be responsible for teaching, training, and assessing students in our Aylesham based setting, ensuring they receive a high-quality educational experience.

Your role will involve supporting learners to reach their full potential and leading specific study programmes and/or courses. A crucial part of your duties will be to oversee the design, delivery, and evaluation of these programmes.


You will play a pivotal role in supporting and creatively teaching young people, both in small groups and one-on-one, within our new provision.

You will deliver project-based learning, as well as Maths and/or English, aiding their transition back into mainstream Further Education, apprenticeships, or full-time employment.


We take pride in the support we offer to those new to teaching, providing ongoing training and coaching via our Teacher Academy.

About You:


Ideally you will understand trauma informed practice, will be passionate about fostering positive relationships and empowering students to achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.

Through a tailored project based curriculum and personalised support system, you will strive to create a safe and inspiring space where learners work towards returning to mainstream FE.

Although, this isn't essential as training will be offered to the successful applicant. You must also have a positive outlook, be empathetic towards learners and have strong class management skills.

  • Minimum of two years' experience of teaching students with SEMH.
  • Qualified teacher (DET, PGCE or Certificate in Education)
  • Relevant level qualification related to specialist area.
  • Safeguarding knowledge and understanding.
  • Be able to teach English and/or maths to Functional Skills level
  • Have an understanding of Trauma informed practice
  • Plan and implement a projectbased curriculum working with employers in the local community
