We're currently seeking an experienced Finance Officer to join the current team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to support our Finance function ensure the smooth operation of our financial processes.

You will provide knowledgeable and informative finance and administrative service/support to the management and functions of PiC.

The role will have a particular focus on the Finance function and will provide opportunities to develop and learn about the operational aspects of Partners in Change.


The Opportunity

In this role, you will:

  • Assist the Finance Manager in the implementation of robust systems, in the operation of the finance department, undertaking a wide range of financial processing and related activities.
  • Be responsible for maintaining operational trackers of time and expenses to support reconciliation of invoicing. Processing and reporting of monthend finances including payments to employees and associates and supporting summary financial reporting to the Directors.
  • Conduct weekly & monthly financial housekeeping, including running reports and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Manage accounts processing using QuickBooks: inputting of financial data; invoicing of clients; maintaining the QuickBooks account categorisation log; monthend reconciliation between QuickBooks and the bank account; VAT returns and potentially payments.
  • Generate monthly and quarterly utilisation and gainshare figures and corresponding letters as per business requirements.
  • Provide valuable input and ensure the timely completion of monthly financial reports to support our Board's decisionmaking process.


In addition to your primary responsibilities, you will also step in to cover the Finance and Operations Manager role when necessary.


Additional Responsibilities:

There may be a requirement to support internal operational activities in addition to finance-specific duties, including:

  • Recruitment and selection campaigns
  • Coordinating the Onboarding and Induction of new starters and managing the leavers process,
  • Supporting the Corporate Social Responsibility activities
- financial and reporting,

  • Managing people information and data employees, associates and the PiC community,
  • Supporting the organisation of team events and internal communications,
  • Compliance monitoring and reporting.

As a Finance Officer at PiC, you will play a vital role in our finance team, where collaboration and effective communication are key to success.

Working closely with various internal stakeholders you will contribute to the seamless operation of our financial processes and foster strong relationships across the business.

What You Will Bring to PiC

  • A minimum of 7 years' experience working in a finance role with demonstrated ability to provide comprehensive financial support and advice.
  • Demonstrable experience of dealing with financial information and processes, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and knowledge of accounting and budgeting processes.
  • Experience of QuickBooks is a must.
  • Accountancy qualifications and PQE are preferable.
  • Strong IT skills, with good background and knowledge of MS Office especially Excel, Outlook, and use of MS Teams.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written), demonstrating an ability to deal with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a variety of work activities in a busy environment and to meet strict deadlines.
  • A clear understanding of the need to complete detailed work with a high standard of accuracy and the ability to be analytical and problemsolve, identifying and resolving issues proactively and effectively.
