Job summary
There will be a requirement to deliver effective ongoing support for systems used by General Practice. By optimising these systems, you will enable practices and other stakeholders to deliver efficient and high-quality care.
The main base will be Sandal Castle Medical Centre with some Hybrid
- Working from home/Multiple sites across general practices in the Wakefield district.
Main duties of the job
To provide support and informal training to Clinical and Non-Clinical staff as required.
To work in partnership with the Integrated Care Board (ICB) to understand training needs and assist in developing training programmes and resources to support workforce development
To create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) user guides and other training materials to support the roll out of training programmes
Act in accordance with the Data Protection act and Caldicott principles relating to confidentiality and the protection of personal and sensitive data at all times
To keep up to date with changes to working practice and suggest improvements and innovations to ensure best use of systems
Person Specification
Experience
Essential
- Experience & achievementsAt least 2 years exposure to computing environments
- Knowledge of software programmes including Microsoft Office 365 and other relative software products
- Has an understanding of the IT function in healthcare and how information technology can deliver benefits to patients and clinicians Experience of working in primary care or general practice
- Experience of supporting the implementation of primary care IT solutions
- Experience of providing second line support for GP clinical systems & working with GP system suppliers to facilitate incident and request resolution
