Mainstay products such as the Tankmaster valve & sight gauge, the Filstop and the more recent Tanktop, have ensured that Atkinson Equipment have stayed at the top of their game in the oil heating industry.

Principal Duties/Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include:

To be responsible for the delivered quality of products and components purchased or manufactured using the most appropriate inspection/quality control methods.
To provide first off and patrol inspection as allocated and prioritised by the Company Quality Manager.
To be responsible for all Quality checks generated from the output produced by the Engineering, Assembly and Pump Build Teams.
To maintain calibrated test equipment, prepare test data, and identify areas for quality control improvement.
To quantify scrap, report to the Company Quality Manager and to help to monitor appropriate controls to reduce scrap quantities to a minimum.
Using the CAD/CAM system produce Company drawings for use by the Engineering Department.
Encourage good working practice and adherence to paperwork systems to maintain ISO 9001 quality & ensure correct implementation.
Liaise with production staff and Engineers to update or create work instructions, record technical set up information and update tooling lists
To oversee the production of parts, including inspection of goods inwards and outwards as appropriate.
Responsible for the preparation of finished machined goods (E.g. Packing/Deburring), as required by the Company Quality Manager.
Cultivate good working relationships with other departmental personnel to promote the efficient working of the business.

The right applicant will be provided with on the job training within our Inspection department in the use of our internal systems and with the use of our multiple state-of-the-art Coordinate Measuring Machines and also for the specialised equipment required to deliver sub-contract parts to the highest standards required.

You must have an understanding of basic measuring equipment and processes.

You must be able to read and understand Engineering Drawings.

You will be willing to learn new skills within an engineering environment.

You will be a flexible, reliable and motivated individual with an open mind & a practical nature.

You will be able to work well as part of a team and demonstrate an excellent attention to detail with the ability to also work alone.

Salary:
£24,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
