DEVOPS ENGINEER

UP TO £140,000 + BENEFITS

THE ROLE

Responsibilities include:

Leadership and oversight in areas such As Architecture, deployment, and maintenance of the existing web platform
Build and maintain data pipelines and instrument metrics taking measurements of system health, site performance, and traffic accessible to other team members
Identify gaps and needs where processes and systems could be made more efficient
Collaborate with other technical staff and product team on the development of system requirements and acceptance criteria; technical perspectives of what is possible
Ability to define engineering tasks accurately and ensure scalable, Robust, efficient, and easily maintainable systems
Work with the engineering team to improve code integration and deployment cycles

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Essentials:

Several years of solid software engineering experience, contributing to architectural design, implementation, and maintenance of new and current systems
Proven experience in multidiscipline software roles architecture, security, DevOps
Experience creating KPIs and evaluation/monitoring successfully
Solid python AND/OR JavaScript skills
PostgreSQL, Post GIS, OR relevant data storage
AWS, ECS, Fargate
Solid understanding of infrastructure design and operational tradeoffs in various designs
Experienced with Docker, Terraform, Jenkins, CI/CD, GitHub actions
Interest in the complexity of supply chains and are motivated to understand open data
