About the Role

Our Operations Manager will ensure all operational and buildings processes are in place to provide a safe and efficient working environment for staff.

You will be responsible for the smooth-running of all building and maintenance throughout our wonderful building,ensuring the offices and internal spaces are conducive to a productive working environment for all staff and visitors.

The Operations Manager role is key to supporting the Society to deliver our goals and work towards a sustainable future.


Why your role matters

As our Operations Manager you will take the lead on the day-to-day operational duties while our Head of Operations is taking maternity leave.

As our Operational lead you will provide a comprehensive, cost effective and high performing delivery of facilities, security and health & safety services for the Linnean Society, ensuring our building complies with all current safety and management regulations.

You will be ingenious and creative with ideas to maximise our revenue by bringing additional exposure and activity promoting the building as a multifunctional space.


About you

It would be great if you
Experience of dealing with suppliers, procurement and contract negotiations and previous experience of managing people and budgets. Experience in working with a data-driven approach using robust qualitative and qualitative evaluation and/or CRM systems.
