At Gregory Distribution Ltd, we have a vacancy for a

Goods-In Operator based at our

Cullompton Depot.


The position will involve:


  • Receive incoming shipments, check delivery documentation, and inspect goods for quality, quantity, and damages to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Accurately record all received goods into the inventory system, maintaining precise stock levels and ensuring data integrity.
  • Organise and store received goods in designated locations within the warehouse, adhering to safety protocols and optimizing space utilisation.
  • Work closely with the procurement and logistics teams to coordinate the timely arrival of goods, address any discrepancies, and facilitate smooth warehouse operations.
  • Handle product returns and exchanges, verifying the condition of returned items, and process necessary documentation.
  • Assist in implementing quality control procedures to ensure that all incoming goods meet required standards.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and follow proper handling procedures for hazardous materials or fragile goods.
  • Regularly inspect and maintain the equipment used in the goodsin process, promptly reporting any issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Generate and maintain accurate records of received goods, documenting any damages, shortages, or overages for inventory reconciliation purposes.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives, suggesting ideas to enhance efficiency and streamline operations.
