We are looking for a passionate and strategic lead to help us develop and implement our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion plans.
Our workforce lead will be responsible for the leadership, direction and delivery of our EDI plans, ensuring the Trust complies with its statutory duties and contractual obligations.
Working with the Deputy Director of Workforce and senior leaders, our workforce EDI lead will champion and advocate equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace - facilitating discussions, forums and workshops as needed and providing practical opportunities of promoting EDI across the Trust.
Our EDI lead will:
Lead the Trust's programme on workforce equality and improving culture by implementing the Workforce Equality Campaign of the Promoting Equality and Tackling Inequality Strategy through cross-functional working groups.
Be a source of expert advice and guidance on equality, diversity and inclusion related to workforce - keeping up-to-date on latest national, regional and local developments, legal and regulatory updates, highlighting the close link between good employment practices, service delivery and community leadership.
Preparing and publishing key statutory reports such as the WRES, WDES, Gender Pay Gap, EDS2 reviews and the annual workforce equality report to agreed timescales - providing updates to the Board and relevant committees.
Facilitating Equality Group meetings, in partnership with other campaign leads, reporting progress on the Equality Strategy, showcasing good practice and continuous improvement to support a whole system approach to tackling inequalities.
Providing mentoring, coaching and OD and Culture-related Equality, Diversity &Inclusion (ED&I) consultancy support to managers and staff on improving workplace culture.
