Description
A cosmetic manufacturing company in Brandon is seeking a Line Setter.


MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:


To ensure all components are available lineside for daily production, chase missing parts and check quality of first off and running components with patrol checks.

Ensure all lines are set-up to against the manufacturer's instructions for maximum efficiency. Run routine machine maintenance checks as per plan.


AS YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Production

  • Follow production plan to ensure all components are ready for production prior to production run.
  • Ensure any component short fall is flagged and chased to ensure it is available for production.
  • Organise removal of surplus components back to warehouse.
  • Organise removal of finished goods to warehouse and highlight any issues.
  • Ensure master sample is available at line prior to running.
  • Set line ready for production run against manufacturer instructions.
  • Run routine maintenance plans on all production machines.
  • Check first off with senior line operator against master and sign off.
  • Carry out random lineside QA checks to ensure consistent quality.
  • Assist in any labour shortfalls if and when able.
Health & Safety

  • Observe the effective maintenance of safety rules and standards in the department by the workers
  • Maintain good and safe working standards
  • Report any breaches of health and safety to the Production Supervisor
  • Under the terms of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, you are responsible for taking reasonable care of the health and safety of yourself and others who may be affected by your acts or omissions.
  • You are to comply with all published safety regulations and conditions.
  • You are to ensure that any work being carried out is in accordance with current health and safety regulations and does not, so far as is reasonably practicable, expose any persons to risks to their health and safety, whether such persons be employed by Muddles Green Ltd or visitors to our premises.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:


  • Able to work on your own and as a team member.
  • Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good time management and planning skills.
  • Knowledge of production machinery and techniques.
  • Ability to solve manufacturing problems.
  • Ability to influence and strong accountability.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Brandon, IP27 0NZ: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
