Electrical Design Engineer - Control Panels

Full time Electrical Design Engineer position available in Southampton or Hybrid location, UK. Duties include equipment selection and purchasing, control panel design, documentation production, onsite fault finding, and risk assessments.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Design Engineer to join our team at Trant Engineering Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing electrical control systems for a wide range of applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Design of Control Panel Schematic Diagrams and General Arrangements from User Requirement Specifications and Control Philosophies
Production of documentation packages for workshop operatives
Onsite Fault Finding and Modification of Electrical Control Systems
Creation of Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Site Progress Reports, and other paperwork

Requirements:

Qualified electrical engineer or equivalent by experience
Good understanding of BSEN 61439 LV Directive
Experience with AutoCAD (Promis-e training can be provided)
